The Societas Rosicruciana in Civitatibus Foederatis (SRICF) was constituted in Philadelphia, PA, in 1880. Its progenitor, Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia, was founded in the U.K. in 1865. The SRICF is an independent organization whose purpose is to explore the more esoteric aspects of Masonry, as they pertain to Christian mysticism. There are nine grades, one college per state, and only 72 members per college. Membership is by invitation to all Christian Master Masons who are not members of any other Rosicrucian body.
