The Scottish Rite Research Society (SRRS) was founded in 1991 to promote Masonic scholarship and research into the Scottish Rite. Their annual publication, Heredom, is named after the mythical Scottish mountain long associated with high-degree Masonry. The SRRS has roughly four thousand members, and is open to all Scottish Rite Masons.
