The second, or Fellowcraft Degree in Freemasonry, is symbolic of man's journey through life. It is best described in the lecture of winding stairs, as depicted in the picture above. Throughout this journey, wisdom, knowledge, and strength all contribute to a Mason's quest for light. They guide his actions, conduct, & disposition toward all mankind, and assist him in his worldly labors. Although the staircase appears short, this journey lasts a lifetime.
